PAW Team provides free and low-cost veterinary services for cats and dogs of families experiencing houselessness or those living below the federal poverty line. All of PAW Team’s veterinarians are volunteers from our community, dedicating their time to serve pets and people in need of care.

PAW Team does not provide emergency, urgent care, or financial assistance services.

If your pet is experiencing an emergency or needs help right away, please visit this page for resources.

PAW Team does not offer walk-in care or same day appointments.

Medical Concerns and Continued Care

For a pet that needs more than a wellness visit, PAW Team has the ability to provide assessment and treatment for pets with certain health conditions. Although PAW Team does provide veterinary services, we are not a fully-equipped veterinary hospital and our diagnostic and treatment options are limited.

PAW Team’s medical services include:

  • Nonurgent care for minor issues such as superficial wounds, skin/ear infections, gastrointestinal upset, etc.

  • Treatment of some chronic and age related health conditions.

  • Medications, supplements, and prescription diets through our in-house pharmacy.

    • PAW Team is not a dispensing pharmacy and cannot fill medications prescribed by other veterinary clinics.

  • Limited diagnostic testing on-site or through reference laboratories.

Unfortunately, PAW Team does not have the staffing or equipment to provide diagnostic imaging (x-rays, ultrasound, etc.), in-depth lab work, supportive care (IV fluids, hospitalizations, etc.), or surgeries (including dental procedures) at our clinic.

Due to demand, appointments for assessment and treatment are limited and can take 6 - 8 weeks to schedule. If you are able, we encourage you to seek care at one of our vaccine clinics. If we are unable to help you at one of these clinics, we will discuss further options and/or resources with you. It’s always a good idea to have records of where and when your pet was diagnosed so our medical staff can review any background health information to better assess if/how we can help.
